This is seriously the best self tanner ever. It gives an even, natural dark looking tan overnight. My natural skin tone leans towards the paler side in the fall and winter, and most tanners make me look orangey and streaky. This tanner gives you an olive/brown tan so it actually looks like you've been out in the sun for a while. Also there are absolutely no streaks because the cream has a brown color so you can see where you are applying it, and it makes your skin super soft and glowy. The only downside is that I don't think it smells delicious, although it is way better smelling than all the other tanners I've tried. Its definitely worth it to spend the money on this product if you want a great tan from a bottle. Since the cream is thick and you get a pretty dark color in one application you don't need to use much at a time, which makes it last for a while.

After using several self-tanners and being unhappy with all of them, I decided to spend a little extra and try Clarins, since I was told it is one of the best. I was not disappointed. I used it literally twice and already started to see a dark, natural glow. This is the third morning I have used it and it looks like I have a dark tan. It is unbelievable! I have a very odd, pinkish skin color and have had an orangey look with other tanners, but this one looks great! You have to be very careful with the application, just like any self-tanner, but the results are wonderful!

All of these self-tanners use the same active ingredients, so there really isn't that much difference between them. Is this one a little less orange than some others? Maybe, maybe not. If there is a difference, it's not worth paying 4x as much for in my opinion. The smell is one of the worst I've encountered as well.
I think the trick to sunless tanning is to not over do it. The more coats you put on, the greater your risk of looking orange. If you just want a little color, then just about any of them will do. Personally, I think Neutrogena Sun Fresh lotion smells the best and also fades nice and evenly. It also doesn't use a bronzer, so there's less chance of staining your sheets & clothes.
